Play six hours of single-player and unlimited multiplayer for free on PC through Origin. Available now publisher Electronic Arts' Origin platform is a free trial that lets you play the open-world RPG's single-player campaign for a period of six hours. If after the six hours are up you decide to buy the full game, your progress will thankfully carry forward.

Multiplayer, however, is "unlimited," according to the product page. Free trial players can also download Inquisition's free multiplayer packs and even play with people who own the paid game. Head to Inquisition's Origin page here to get started. This hasn't been announced yet, but BioWare continuing to support the commercially successful game wouldn't be a very surprising development.

For completionists though, the way a single choice gives with one hand while taking away with another, may prove upsetting. Given its complexity, Dragon Age: Inquisition is quite accessible. All of the menus you need can be accessed from a radial menu or with a few button clicks. With so many options on hand this ease is especially important because at any given moment you are controlling four different characters , each with their combat style and powers.

Rogues, warriors, and mages all fight differently, and within each class there are four skill trees to choose between. It is baffling and you can easily find yourself sticking with what you know rather than trying to master new skills. My character is a pure tank who throws around her two-handed weapon in a way that would make Conan proud — but there are dozens of options if you want to experiment.

I balance her with the rest of my squad, usually selecting a healing mage, a rogue archer, and stealthy rogue to accompany me.

I can choose to let each of these do their own thing, micromanage them from the combat strategy menu, or instantly switch to direct control with a single button press. With so much going on seeing limbs pass through armor and scenery, or finding characters stood atop tables, is commonplace. Add to this a host of other small inconsistencies, and you will often feel like the game is actively trying to break your immersion. If the visuals are try to break your connection, then the fantastic vocal work is doing quite the reverse.

Each character is fully voiced with unique dialog. While you may not be able to talk to absolutely everyone in the world, those you can interact with feel like more than just cookie cutter replicates. Gone was my soft-spoken dwarf, replaced by a brasher individual as the game decided to associate my character with a different vocal track.

This was almost comical, but it did unfortunately further break my connection. Look past these problems, however, and you will discover a beautiful fantasy world, filled with incredible design and architecture, which combine to give a real sense of place.

Each race and nationality is distinctly different, but cohesively constructed. You move throughout regal cities, frozen tundra, barren deserts, and even distorted dreamscapes in the battle against the forces of evil.

All of them are stunning, and filled with suitably diverse characters too keep you exploring. While it may have some pacing and technical issues, once you submerge yourself in Dragon Age: Inquisition all of that will fade into insignificance. But now the nobility are being not just selfish but blind. War, demons, a torn sky: these are more than troubling—they're terrifying. Sera fights for those caught in the middle, but she also needs order restored. The world has to be normal so she can play.

A leader among the mages and official enchanter to the Imperial court, she is renowned as a fearsome woman who achieved her position through guile and deft political maneuvering. Vivienne fights to restore order in a world gone mad…so long as that leaves her among those left standing, once all is said and done.

Dwarves are short, stocky, and most spend their entire lives underground. Those living in exile on the surface are commonly merchants or smugglers.

Elves are a historically oppressed people, distinguishable by their lithe frames and pointed ears. Though most survive in the poorest fringes of human cities, others live as nomads known as the Dalish. Humans are the most numerous and powerful race in Thedas.

They are also the most divided politically and seem to thirst for conflict. Human characters receive a bonus ability point at the start of the game. The Qunari are a race of horned giants who follow a strict religious text known as the Qun. Those who have abandoned its principles are known as Tal-Vashoth and often work as mercenaries.

Make momentous choices, forge relationships, and explore incredible worlds with a character of your own creation. Jaws of Hakkon. Uncover the previous Inquisitor's fate. What became of the dragon he pursued? Explore a stretching wilderness and its fiercely independent residents, the hunters known as Avvar.

The Descent. Brave your way into the Deep Roads and dare to fight the terrifying and deadly Darkspawn in a sprawling world underneath Thedas. Discover the reason behind the earthquakes that threaten to tear Thedas apart. The adventure isn't over. Defeat the tremendous evil bent on destroying Thedas. This is your final mission, Inquisitor.

Succeed at all costs. Equip and customize gear, weapons, mounts and more. Make your mark on the Inquisition. Free trial players can also download Inquisition's free multiplayer packs and even play with people who own the paid game. Head to Inquisition's Origin page here to get started.
